A Trip to Mexico City

E-mail Print PDF

Everyone told us, "Mexico City is cold in the winter!" We went and, wow!  The weather was 75 to 80 degrees every day we were there.  The seven hour bus ride took nine. Well, things happen; we made it safely and checked in to the Best Western Majestic Hotel in the Downtown area. The hotel is beautiful, has nice rooms, and nearby sightseeing.  Exhausted, we had an early supper, wandered around the square, and then called it a night.

A Hike to the Sacred Waterfalls

It was the big day, the day that I joined my fellow adventurers to go to the Andes and the jungle of the Amazon basin.

In the Miami airport I connected with the diverse and interesting group with whom I would spend the next three weeks. There, we got directions to a new housing development we had been told was selling homes on the beach.

A Day on the Trail

Our good mountain animals, Enrique’s mule and my mare, step brightly, anxious to stretch their legs after several days of rain. Fluffy, fair-weather clouds reach high in the morning sky and it seems a good day to round up stray cattle, check fences, and maybe spot a rogue bull that has been inseminating ranchers’ cows.
