This is the season for many charitable events and one of the most anticipated is the 4th annual fund-raising luncheon and auction to benefit the children at Misión San Pablo. Misión San Pablo is home to HIV-negative boys and girls between 2 and 14, most of whom were orphaned when their parents died of AIDS-related complications.
This year's event will again be held at l pm at the Real de Chapala Hotel on Thursday, February 21. The luncheon features door prizes, special presentations, silent and live auctions. A silent auction will offer more than 50 items including jewelry, dinner certificates, artworks, and services from various Lakeside merchants. Special silent auction items include stays for your out-of-town guests at local B&Bs, golf and tennis lessons, a tequila tasting party, and much more.
A special feature is the live auction of "Homes and Holidays" which includes vacation stays in spectacular properties in Mexico, Canada, the United States and Europe. Many can accommodate up to six people so make up your team with friends to bid on these spectacular vacation opportunities.
More information on the Misión and this special event is available on the Misión San Pablo website at www.misionsanpablo.org .
Amigos de Misión Board President, Dixie Topham, says that this is the organization's main fund-raising event and supports on-going needs of the children.
