Ajijic, December 18, 2008 - Our mission has not changed -- we remain dedicated to helping children with serious illnesses and disabilities - but our former logo, which served us well for many years, no longer accurately reflected the needs of the children we help.
Families are turning to us for assistance for a host of reasons such as kidney and liver transplants, anti-convulsion, epilepsy medication, cerebral palsy, vision problems, cancer treatments and much more. So while the helping hand is still very much there, the wheelchair has gone and in its place there is the sense of joy we see in many of our children when they are able to lead more normal lives as a result of help provided by Niños Incapacitados.
Allan Turnipseed, who lives on Lakeside, is the talented graphic designer who created the new logo for us. And he did so free of charge as a very generous contribution to Niños Incapacitados. The development of a new logo is a difficult and demanding process and we count ourselves very lucky to have Allan as a friend of our organization. The logo looks great both in color, and in black and white, and we are proud and delighted with our new lively professional look.
