All the music from Los Cantantes del Lago's spring concert this year comes from the British Isles.
They will weave you a tapestry of sound from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales with the sounds of Dublin's plaintive "Cockles and Mussels", Scotland's lilting "Afton Water", the famous Welsh "All Through the Night" and "The Lamb", a poem by the English poet William Blake, exquisitely set to music by John Tavener. Lennon & McCartney's "When I'm Sixty-Four" could raise a smile, and they'll sing Sir Elton John's hit "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?". They guarantee to warm the cockles o' your heart and set your feet tapping with these and many more songs.
Timothy G. Ruff Welch will direct with Eleanor Stromberg accompanying Los Cantantes on piano.
A cash bar opens one hour before each concert.
Tickets are $150 Pesos and will be available at LCS Tickets, Etc. from March 10 to April 2, with the exception of March 20, 21 and 22, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tickets are also available from members of Los Cantantes and by e-mailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
