With English, German and commerce degrees from Guelph and Windsor Universities, Marina worked in Toronto setting up the first marketing department for Midland Doherty Securites. She later worked at McCann Erickson & Ogilvy and Mather Advertising during the 80's. Marina then founded her own design and manufacturing company in SMA with nationwide distribution of household items, giftware and furniture all made in Mexico. Marina now runs an advisory service for visitors to San Miguel, has managed the launch of Mexico's first Stress-Free School and is Regional Director for Point South in San Miguel de Allende. Judy King moved to Lake Chapala in 1990. For eleven years she was a real estate agent and broker and studied the area's customs, traditions and holidays. She co-founded the popular online magazine Living at Lake Chapala (www.mexico-insights.com) in 2001 and continues to edit that magazine as well as the monthly print magazine, the Lake Chapala Review. Over the years Judy has related tales of life in Mexico and unraveled Mexican holidays and culture in talks for hundreds of tourists groups. Suzanne Ludekens arrived in Central America nearly 20 years ago. In her adventures she has picked coffee in Nicaragua, imported textiles from Guatemala, designed clothing and jewelry in Mexico, interspersed with a variety of interesting, though unglamorous, positions in markets, offices, restaurants and theaters. She is Editor-in-Chief for the weekly Atención San Miguel the perfect position for the incorrigibly curious. Although an Australian by birth, she is Mexican at heart and lives in San Miguel with her two teenage children. |

Alberto Pacheco, a native of México City, México, emigrated to the United States in the late 1970s to pursue a career in graphic arts. Educated in the fine arts, Alberto parlayed his love of design into a successful 30-year career as an award-winning Art Director for several high-profile associations. In 2007, Alberto and his wife Wendy, a medical editor and freelance writer, relocated from the Washington, DC, area to San Miguel de Allende, México. Alberto is an avid racquetball player and Harley rider. He also enjoys playing guitar and keyboard. |

Darryl "Diego" Glen Tenenbaum is a Canadian born publisher, who has been living in central Mexico for the last twelve years. He co-founded and still publishes the Lake Chapala Review and Point South Real Estate Guides in the Lake Chapala area as well as Banderas Bay.
Mr. Tenenbaum or "Diego Glen" as he is known by his Mexican clients, also created and ran the section, Buena Vida Chapala, which circulated 165,000 issues monthly in Guadalajara with El Tren and the leading newspaper, El Informador. He is the only foreigner to have both editorial and commercial discretion in the newspaper's nearly 90 year history.
Currently he is the Director of Smart MKTG S. de R.L. de C.V., which publishes Point South Canada and provides editorial support to its outreach component, the Point South Mexpo.
